Approval
Advisers, programs, services, and cohort initiatives become visible on PROVUS only after an authorised person at your institution has approved them. Approval is logged with the approver's identity, timestamp, and scope.
Suspension
Approval can be paused at any time, for any duration, by any authorised approver. Suspended items disappear from student-facing surfaces immediately, with the reason recorded.
Audit trail
Every governance decision leaves a trace. Who approved, when, on what evidence, under whose authority. The trail is exportable, queryable, and immutable by design.
Fail-closed
If approval cannot be verified — for any reason — the item is hidden by default. PROVUS never shows students something it cannot confirm an institution stands behind right now.

PROVUS works alongside your existing systems. It governs a surface that none of them are built to govern.
- Not an LMS or CRM. PROVUS doesn't host courses, manage enrolments, track learning outcomes, or run your marketing automation. Your existing systems do that. PROVUS governs the surface where they meet students.
- Not a directory. A directory lists everything. PROVUS shows only what is approved right now. Suspended advisers and ended programs disappear immediately, not after a sync cycle.
- Not a self-serve onboarding portal. Institutions onboard to PROVUS through a structured human conversation. There is no "sign up free" path. Reputation systems break when anyone can join.

Institutional onboarding is a conversation, not a sign-up flow. A member of the PROVUS team works with you to understand your governance structure, identify approvers, configure the platform to mirror your existing authority lines, and migrate any advisers or programs that should be visible at launch.
Most institutions complete onboarding in 6–12 weeks. The work is concentrated in the first two weeks (mapping your governance structure) and the last two (configuring approvers and validating data). The middle eight weeks are mostly your team doing things at their own pace, with PROVUS available when needed.
